Manage Groups

If your company has different people responsible for different domains, you can create groups using the QUANTIL portal to represent the entities and customize people's permissions to restrict access to specific domains.

When viewing reports, you can choose to display results for a group by selecting it.

To see your groups, log in as an administrator.  Then click your account name in the upper right hand corner and select Manage Groups.

The Manage Groups page shows a list of groups you have created along with the domains and domain sets belonging to the group.

• Add a new group by clicking the Add Group button.  Enter a name for the group as well as a default privilege for contacts (users) who have access to the group.  You can also pick which group contacts have access and whether they have read or write privilege.  Read privilege lets a user see the settings and reports of each domain in the group.  Write privilege allows a user to make changes to settings of domains within the group.  If you have not created any group contacts yet, add a new contact.  

Note:  Administrators and Viewer contacts can access ALL domains in your account regardless of whether a domain is within a group or not. Group contacts are people who are limited to specific groups.

The "Group Contacts with Access" section shows everyone with access to the group.  You can toggle their read/write privileges by choosing the appropriate button.  You can also disable a user's access by clicking the Delete checkbox corresponding to that user and clicking the Save button.

• Edit an existing group by selecting the node representing it and clicking the Edit Group button.  You can rename the group or change who can access the group's domains.
• Delete an existing group by selecting the node representing it and clicking the Delete Group button.
• Pick domains and domain sets that belong in the group by selecting the node representing the group and then clicking the Choose Domain Sets/Domains For Group button.  Users given access to the group can configure or view settings and reports for each domain in the group.
